Overview of Amnesia:
Amnesia is a total or partial loss of memory. It occurs when a person loses the ability to remember events and information they would normally be able to recall. Many forms of amnesia fix themselves without being treated. If not, there are a few ways to treat for memory loss. Cognitive therapy is a successful way in which the person is taught memory skills and the therapist tries to help them regain some memories they have lost by using techniques to retrieve memories.
